Restaurant Daniel’s wine list spans 15 countries and includes over 2,000 selections carefully chosen for their utmost quality by Head Sommelier Raj Vaidya. Our state of the art cellar has a capacity of 25,000 bottles and is both temperature and humidity controlled for optimum wine storage conditions. Proper cellaring ensures not only that wines age well, but that they emerge at correct serving temperatures, ready to be savored at their best. Our wine list offers something for every palate and pocketbook ranging from a $35 bottle of Rhône Syrah, to a bottle of the legendary Chateau D’Yquem 1918 for $10,000. Many full bottles are priced under $100. While the thought of choosing from among 2000 selections might seem daunting, our team of sommeliers pride themselves in helping guests order wines to complement their meal. We also offer wine pairings specifically selected for our tasting menus.
The proximity of Daniel Boulud’s hometown of Lyon to the Rhône Valley and Burgundy regions of France is apparent on our wine list. We offer extensive verticals and deep vintages of the great wines of Europe and America. Traveling through the wine regions of the world, our sommelier has developed special relationships with small, quality-oriented winemakers who sell rare cuvees as well as older vintages of their bottlings that are seldom seen on the market.
